Make a difference.At Peel Region, we can create lasting impact, together.**Who we are: Infrastructure Planning, Partnerships and Compliance helps achieve our mission of "Providing Clean Water for Life" by protecting and managing our water resources, planning new water and wastewater infrastructure to meet growth demands, asset management planning to maintain the existing $26 Billion infrastructure in a state of good repair, planning and supporting water and wastewater regulatory compliance and quality management systems. We build and manage strategic partnerships with the Local Municipalities, Ontario Clean Water Agency, Conservation Authorities, and other municipalities and external agenciesIn this role you will supervise a team of 4 Project Managers, 1 Advisor, 2 Specialists and 2 Co‑op StudentsWhat you will do in this role:Lead the team managing decision support systems and data managementLead vulnerability and risk assessment studies of Region’s water/wastewater Transmission/Collection systemLead infrastructure design reviews related to reduction of Wastewater Inflow and Infiltration program and Water service/pressure improvementsKey member supporting the development of the Region’s Water Program Capital Budget forecasting for future infrastructure, state of good repair and feasibility studiesIdentify and initiate new business requirements to improve current practices and better assess infrastructure needs. Keeps continually educated on emerging technologies and changing regulationsProvide front‑linesupervision, coaching, mentoring and resolve team conflictsResponsible for providing support through data, GIS and hydraulic modeling in identifying, developing water program infrastructure budgets and identifying asset management needsLead the development and management of the flow monitoring program and rainfall monitoringProvides direct supervision to the hydraulic modeling team, dataLead project teams provide data and support to the team that conduct Environmental Assessments, Feasibility, SOGR, and Water technology studies to support water program initiativesReview and implement new and existing business processes within the water and wastewater data management programMonitor and ensure technical application tools for the section are adequate and provide the necessary service to internal stakeholdersBuild sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders and resolve enquiriesWhat the role requires:University Degree/College degree in Civil Engineering, Geo Science or Earth Sciences, plus 5 years of relevant experience. P.
