KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with and supporting the welding/fabricating crew in productivity and efficiency
  • Ability to work independently as well as be a team-player
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times
  • Identify and support opportunities to improve efficiency and quality
  • Prioritize work and follow direction
  • Utilize the appropriate tools and methodologies
  • Ability to read blueprints, fit, fabricate and plan for the most efficient weldments
  • Ensure reporting completions and results are done accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist in investigating potential quality issues brought forth by customers, whether internal or external
  • Assist the Lead Hands and Supervisors as required
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • 2-3 years of previous experience
  • CWB Certification preferred but not required
  • Must be able to perform all welding functions at an acceptable level
  • Must have Fitting/Fabricating Experience
  • Must be knowledgeable in the use and operation of all hand power tools
  • Must be able to read and understand shop drawings
  • Must be capable of working under minimum amount of supervision
  • Has good understanding in proper use and care of jigs
  • Able to effectively communicate
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
