We are seeking a Technical Director who will develop strategy for the Health Data Platform, guide engineering teams, and align product vision with business objectives. Responsibilities Define and implement the strategic technical direction of the Health Data Platform, translating business goals into a coherent roadmap. Partner with the CEO, CTO, and senior executives to set priorities, communicate trade‑offs, and report on progress. Ensure effective assignment of feature‑development work with a focus on quality, efficiency, and impact. Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and feature release cycles in collaboration with engineering leads. Manage day‑to‑day work priorities, establish best practices, and enforce KPI tracking for performance and service quality. Maintain accurate time‑tracking and billing, ensuring project management tools and billing systems are fully utilized. Build and sustain strategic cross‑functional partnerships across departments (e.g., HR, Finance, Product). Oversee performance reviews, goal setting, professional development plans, and skill‑gap mapping. Mentor, coach, and foster a positive, respectful team culture aligned with company competencies. Requirements 8+ years of experience in a software development organization with modern engineering practices. 5+ years in technical program leadership or engineering management. Deep knowledge of SDLC, cloud technologies, DevOps, scalable architecture, and FHIR/HL7. Proven ability to guide architectural decisions and ensure technical excellence across teams. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Track record of attracting, developing, and retaining high‑performance engineering talent. Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration with C‑suite executives. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and storytelling abilities. Experience in healthtech or high‑growth tech startups is a plus. Compensation $150,000 – $180,000 per year. Benefits Flexible Time Away from Work policy, PTO, Personal & Sick Days.
