Our communities are among the best places to live in Western Canada.Our Vision: For every person to feel at home.This is truly supported by our credo. “Let us welcome you home.” All of us here feel it is an honour to work with our residents and we advocate a resident‑centered approach where the Resident, is the focus of all our endeavors.As the Dietary Aid, you are responsible for the well‑being of our residents through the delivery of high‑quality hospitality services.ResponsibilitiesEnsures proper food presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures.Assists with basic food preparation tasks.Serves meals and beverages to residents according to their dietary restrictions and individual preferences whileampaikan encouraging independent feeding.Assists in setting up, cleaning and sanitizing the dining room and server prior to and after лы meal service.Assists in setting up, serving and cleaning in dining areas during special events, large orders and catered functions as needed.Prepares a variety of beverages, including freshly brewed coffee and tea.Dispenses nourishment for delivery to resident areas.Stores food in designated areas while following all food safety and sanitation procedures.Assists with receiving food and supplies and stores them in the appropriate areas while observing proper stock rotation.Operates the commercial dishwasher to wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, trays, and utensils.Ensures a safe and sanitary environment for team members and residents through adherence to organizational standards and protocols.Promptly reports unsafe conditions, incidents, or concerns to supervisor, General Manager or Health & Safety Committee.Identifies maintenance issues and reports them following established maintenance procedures.Responds promptly during emergency codes in alignment with organizational standards and protocols.Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.Ensures adherence to infection control policies and procedures through regular audits, observations, and investigations.Maintains strict confidentiality of resident medical and personal information in accordance with privacy legislation. JD I HR I Dec 2025Completes orientation upon hire and annual mandatory education as assigned.Respects and upholds the Resident Bill of Rights and the Assisted Living Rights of Residents (BC only).Participates in team meetings and stays informed on relevant internal communications.Performs other duties as required to support operational needs. Qualifications & ExperienceQualifications and ExperienceMinimum of one (1) year experience withina food serviceStrong background in food services in a residential care setting or hotelExceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors, and operational partners殷Superior organizational skills with the ability to handle fast paced environment.Comprehensive food services knowledge, including focus on quality, production, sanitation,Launch and presentationSuperior oral and written communication skills.Demonstrate the ability to UTQ prioritize and problem solve.Ability to stand for extended periods of time.Must be able to read dietary charts.Must be able to lift 25 pounds.Conditions of EmploymentFood Safe CertificationClear Police Information CheckClear Vulnerable Sector CheckCOVID-19 vaccination proof.
