Position Description: Clark Builders is hiring Concrete Finishers to work on the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre starting in 2025 This role will responsible for placing and finishing concrete floors, slabs, columns, walls and other concrete structures to required specifications.Reporting to: Foreman or SuperintendentDuties and Responsibilities:Place wet concrete into forms and spread it to a specified depth.Level and smooth the surface of the concrete, round the edges and make joints or grooves to help control cracking on the surface.Apply architectural, exposed, patterned, stamped, broomed or smooth finishes.Use dry pack grouting and epoxy materials as needed and ensure concrete cures correctly.Planning sequences and methods of work.Maintaining a clean construction site.Execute work with minimal supervision while working alongside a team and other sub-trades to complete projects.Perform other construction related duties as assigned.Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures.Skills and Knowledge:The physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., as well as performing repetitive motions, bending, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods throughout the day.The capability to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on the season.The ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks.1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th year Apprenticeship training or Journeyperson certificate.Qualifications:Experience working in commercial/industrial construction is considered an asset.Valid first aid certificate an asset.Valid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.What's in it for you?Competitive wages and vacation pay.Opportunity to work overtime hours.Employer RRSP Matching program.Employee and Family Assistance (EFAP) program.Comprehensive health and benefits plan.Employee referral program – earn a cash bonus if the candidate you refer passes their 90-day probation.Comments:Environmental aspects (weather, heights, etc.) play an important role for this position since work is often outdoors.*Please note this is a safety sensitive position.Ready to build your career with us?
