Safety, environment, and wellbeing are our foundation.We are looking for a Workshop Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Vancouver/Surrey, Canada.What You Will Be Doing?As a Tool Logistics Coordinator, you will manage and maintain tooling and workshop resources to ensure smooth and efficient field service operations. You will oversee inventory control, shipment coordination, and certification processes, supporting accurate documentation and compliance. Your work directly contributes to operational readiness, safety standards, and customer satisfaction across all service activities.ResponsibilitiesManage tool inventory, including shipment tracking to site and back to workshop.Pack and unpack tooling for field service work.Analyze and help resolve tool‑related obstacles and supply issues.Perform packaging, cleaning, and tool inspections.Organize and maintain the tool crib.Keep Tooling Management System up to date and coordinate tool shipments to and from calibration companies.Organize certification of rigging gear for workshop and field service.Receive, check, and store incoming workshop parts and consumables in an organized and easily accessible manner.Manage PPE stock and distribution.Plan and forecast inventory: complete frequent inventory cycle counts and ensure parts and consumables are available when needed.Perform workshop maintenance as required.QualificationsMinimum 3–5 years of experience in workshop and tool coordination.Basic mechanical/trade knowledge (asset).Ability to analyze manual measurement devices (comparator, vernier, micrometer).Some proficiency in reading technical prints and assembly drawings.Experience with systems such as SAP, WeBuy, and/or Tool Management Systems (asset).Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Energetic, resourceful, and creative about finding solutions, with a “growth” mindset.Ability to work in a multinational workshop environment.Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.Other RequirementsThe candidate must live within a 30‑minute drive of the Surrey office, as unplanned attendance may be required from time to time.The candidate must be flexible with their work schedule (including occasional weekends).Ideal CandidateHigh integrity.Passion for customer service and technical excellence.Strong focus on quality and safety.Critical thinking.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in languages needed to support the team.Strong organizational skills and a team player mindset.Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.Physical & Mental/Reasoning DemandsVision: Close; Distance; Depth.Clear Speech.Touching: Dexterity; Hand; Finger.Ability to Mount and Dismount Forklift/Truck.Pushing/Pulling/Stoop/Kneel/Crouch or Crawl.Lifting: 45 Pounds; 5 Times per shift.Carrying: 25 Pounds; 5 Times per shift.Driving (local/over the road).Bend/Squat/Sit and Stand for a prolonged period of time.Climbing / Balance.Work Environment CharacteristicsWorks Alone / Works with Others.Verbal Contact with Others; Face‑to‑Face Contact.Extreme Heat / Extreme Cold.Mechanical Equipment.Electrical Equipment.Pressurized Equipment.Moving Objects.High Places.Dirt/Dust.As part of the recruitment process, certain roles will be subject to pre‑employment conditions, which may include reference checks, background screening (criminal record, education, and employment verification), fit‑to‑work medical assessments, and confirmation of eligibility to work in Canada.The starting salary for this position will be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education, individual skill set, level of experience, and internal equity.Wärtsilä values, respects, and embraces all differences.
