The presented range reflects a 35-hour workweek; candidates outside this range are encouraged to apply.About The RoleNo insurance experience is necessary for this role. We provide and pay for all training to become a licensed insurance broker in our Toronto branch. After training, you’ll help people protect what’s most important to them.We are looking for a Personal Insurance Advisor (Sales) to join BrokerLink in our Toronto Branch on a Permanent (FT) basis. You’ll work in a supportive call center setting, providing insurance advice, assisting with quotes, policy updates and coverage questions.What You’ll Do HereSell new policies/write new business to existing or new clients; retain existing book of businessService ongoing client needs, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessment, recommend solutions, answer inquiries, perform care calls, and process renewalsQuote new business through outbound calls, introductory letters, and walk-in clientsContact underwriters and adjusters to discuss guidelines and policyPrepare documentation for insurers, complete applications, issue certificates, process changes and review renewalsStay current on underwriting rules and workflow processesParticipate in training initiatives and community marketing initiativesProcess accounts receivable activitiesProvide guidance and assistance as requestedWhat You Bring To The TableHigh School or equivalentExperience with sales targets/KPIsExperience in a call centreExposure to Epic is an assetStrong customer focusDemonstrated ability to handle multiple prioritiesStrong analytical and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWorking Schedule IncludesThe successful candidate will participate in an 8-week Foundations training program, working Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. Upon successful completion of training, the role will transition to a 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST shift, Monday to Friday, with a 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. EST shift on Saturday. After one year, there is a possibility to transition to an earlier shift (e.g., 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST) based on business needs and performance.We thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
