About the Opportunity Collaborate with each resident and/or family to assess their engagement in meaningful activities across the six dimensions of wellness – Physical, Social, Intellectual, Vocational, Emotional, and Spiritual. Assist residents in achieving their goals to enhance overall wellness and develop strategies to reach those goals. Develop, analyze, and review resident‑directed individualized and community-wide programs. Foster partnerships with local businesses and community groups to facilitate program development. Evaluate programming to ensure it meets residents’ needs and expectations while upholding established standards. Collaborate with the Recreation team to develop a comprehensive wellness programming plan for all service lines. Oversee orientation of new residents to the recreation department, its services, activities, and amenities. Oversee Recreation services for special functions, ensuring organization, cost efficiency, and appropriate staffing. About You Possess a diploma or degree in recreation or a related discipline. Hold a passion for creative arts such as music therapy, art therapy, or other artistic expression. Be an energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and has experience in programming and planning for seniors in a recreational environment. Have strong verbal and written communication skills and solid computer skills. Possess a Class G driver’s license (asset). Maintain current, valid CPR and First Aid certification, and a Safe Food Handler’s Course (required). Be able to work flexible hours and shifts, including some weekends and evenings.
