As a Health Care Aide, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with the residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well‑being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day. How You’ll Succeed Provide resident supervision and assistance Support residents with activities of daily living including eating, dressing, hygiene and grooming per individual care plans Assist with communication and connections, encouraging the use of sensory aids such as glasses and hearing aids Administer specific medication to residents under the supervision of a registered health professional after prescribed training Ensure residents have constant access to mobility or assistive devices (canes, walkers, call bells, etc.) Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support and oral and dental care Encourage residents to participate in programs offered by the Resident Experience Team, individually or in groups Who You Are Compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work supporting seniors in living life fully Completed a Health Care Aide program from an approved college Detail‑oriented and proficient in procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and capable of providing bedside care Exercises tact and diplomacy when working with seniors, families and visitors What You Need To Know Sienna Senior Living is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and residents feel they belong Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or possess a valid work/study permit Must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check Must be available for mandatory orientation dates January 19, 20 and 21 from 8 am to 4 pm Apply Now if this job sounds interesting and you want to learn more Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial intelligence to screen and assess applicants for this position.
