About Our Opportunity You will join the Application Development and Production Support (ADPS) team, which provides end‑to‑end application development and production support services to partner departments and agencies. As an Application Architect & Production Support Coordinator (CSO 4), you will design, develop, implement, and maintain complex digital business solutions aligned with organizational goals and technology strategy. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure applications are scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable. Primary Accountabilities Provide SDLC strategies, technical leadership, and expert advice for corporate IT initiatives. Oversee project planning, effort estimation, solution design, secure code review, change management, deployment, testing, and quality assurance. Design, develop, and implement complex business applications by refining requirements, defining system architectures, and leading developers. Ensure data security and integrity, resolve critical production issues, and coordinate escalation and communication during major incidents. Manage backlog of enhancements, usability improvements, and defect fixes; review, categorize, and prioritize requests. Improve SDLC processes by identifying recurring challenges, developing reusable solutions, and maintaining shared code libraries. Evaluate, select, and integrate new technologies, methodologies, and tools. Mentor and collaborate with team members to strengthen technical capabilities and promote knowledge transfer. Collaborate with project managers to guide development projects through ARB and CAB processes. Identify and mitigate technical and security risks; oversee CSRM processes. Qualifications & Experience Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field; 5 years of application development and production support, including 2+ years in a senior development or technical lead role. Microsoft technologies: architecture and development of WPF and native ASP.NET web applications. Server‑Side Development: proficiency in C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework and related server‑side technologies. Front‑End & Database: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC, Blazor, Angular; experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle. Architecture & Security: design patterns (Separation of Concerns, ORM, UI Data Binding) and SPAs; understanding of security protocols (Kerberos, SSO, token‑based authentication, OpenID). Infrastructure & Systems: Windows Server, VM/VDI, proxy/load balancer technologies; performance tuning and scalability design. Documentation & Communication: excellent technical documentation, reporting, and communication skills. Analytical & Problem Solving: strong analytical mindset; innovative thinker. Leadership & Mentoring: proven experience leading teams. Quality & Compliance: knowledge of quality assurance practices, IT compliance, and security standards. Continuous Learning: commitment to professional growth. Assets Proficiency in Java, Struts, JSP/JSF, and Oracle database. Strong understanding Essential cybersecurity principles and related technologies. Adaptability true fl and learning agility. Equivalency Graduate from a recognized Information Technology program, plus 5 years and 6 months of related experience. Equivalent combinations of training and experience may be accepted.
