Build tree care skills as an Arborist Apprentice with Wright Tree Service of Canada in a full-time position. Climbing ability and safety awareness are essential.
Reporting to the General Foreperson, this Arborist Apprentice role supports pruning, trimming, removals, planting, and vegetation management. You will learn cutting techniques, arborist equipment operation, aerial lift procedures, and tree health identification. Wright emphasizes mentorship, employee ownership, safety, and ongoing development through its AUA program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with pruning and trimming trees for healthy growth
- Help remove trees, limbs, branches, and debris
- Operate arborist tools and equipment safely
- Follow safety protocols and wear required protective equipment
- Attend training and learn from experienced arborists
Requirements:
- Ability to climb and work at heights
- Book 7 traffic training
- IHSA safety training in line clearing
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Class 5 licence with air endorsement preferred
Develop practical arborist skills through training, climbing, safe equipment use, and hands-on tree care with Wright Tree Service.
