Manager II, Software Development – Moneris Location: Toronto office (remote flexibility available). Reporting Relationship: Vice President, Enterprise Platforms. What You'll Do Lead teams of software development professionals responsible for multiple aspects of product development. Plan tasks (e.g., front‑end platforms, design and implementation of assigned product domains, integration with third‑party POS products). Perform code and design reviews, ensuring architectural consistency across components. Define high‑level architecture, collaborate with senior developers, and approve detailed designs. Drive all development phases: requirements definition, design, implementation, unit testing, and integration. Oversee detailed designs, implementation, and test plan reviews to guarantee high‑quality deliverables. Assess systems against functional and technical requirements for current and future products in collaboration with key stakeholders. Provide status updates, facilitate iterative releases, and make design decisions throughout development. Ensure deliverables adhere to application product architectures and best practices. Plan budget, resources, and tools to meet roadmap objectives. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred). Minimum of 10 years in system‑level software development / architecture. Proficient in large‑scale systems design, business intelligence, or data architecture environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to influence senior leaders with technical vision. 5+ years of technical leadership and people management experience. Experience with software tooling, especially large‑scale configuration management and deployment systems.
