OverviewQE Lead Toronto - 3-4 days WFO. We are seeking an experienced QE Lead to lead our quality engineering efforts, focusing on test automation, API testing, and ETL validation. The ideal candidate will drive testing strategy, mentor QE team members, and ensure comprehensive quality coverage across our data-driven applications.ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership- Lead and mentor a team of QE engineers, providing technical guidance and career developmentTest Strategy- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for web applications, APIs, and data pipelinesAutomation Framework- Design and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Robot Framework and PythonAPI Testing - Create and execute comprehensive API test suites for RESTful and SOAP servicesETL Validation- Develop automated testing solutions for ETL processes and data pipeline validationQuality Metrics- Establish quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement processesStakeholder Collaboration- Work closely with development, product, and business teams to ensure quality standardsRequired Skills and ExperienceLeadership 10 years in QE with 3 years in leadership lead roleRobot Framework- Expert-level experience in Robot Framework for test automationPython- Strong programming skills in Python for test automation and scriptingSQL- Advanced SQL skills for database testing and data validationAPI Testing- Extensive experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)ETL Testing- Hands-on experience with ETL testing methodologies and data validationTest Management- Experience with test planning, execution, and defect managementTechnical QualificationsAutomation Tools Selenium, Appium, or similar web/mobile automation toolsTesting Frameworks pytest, unittest, or other Python testing frameworksDatabase Systems Experience with multiple database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)CICD Integration Experience integrating automated tests into CICD pipelinesPerformance Testing Knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologiesVersion Control Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflowsSoft SkillsTeam Management- Proven ability to lead and develop QE team membersCommunication- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProblem Solving- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilitiesProcess Improvement- Experience implementing testing best practices and process optimizationAgile Methodology- Experience working in AgileScrum environmentsMentoring- Track record of coaching and developing junior QE engineersPreferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms (OCP, Azure)Certification in testing methodologies (ISTQB, etc.)Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence testingKnowledge of regulatory compliance testing #J-18808-Ljbffr
