The Opportunity We are looking for an Intermediate Environmental Scientist or Engineer who wants to make a difference with a company that cares about its people. Responsibilities Lead and actively participate in field programs within the remediation practice area; however, experience within the reclamation and natural science practice areas are considered an asset. Management of assessment and remediation projects, subcontractors, project budgets. Report and present results to clients and regulators. Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to junior professionals. Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, landowners/stakeholders, and regulators. Be a part of a team that develops new business. About You and Your Qualifications Graduated from a college or university with a diploma or degree in sciences or engineering with an environmental focus. Eligible for an existing professional designation from BCIA, EGBC, CAB, or equivalent within British Columbia. Have 5-10 years of field and office experience working in assessment and remediation practice areas. Experienced in safely leading environmental drilling programs, small- and large-scale remediation, and emergency spill response projects. Knowledge of contaminated sites legislation, environmental regulations, policies, and permit processes. Can safely operate vehicles and have a valid class 5 driver’s licence. You are positive, humble, caring, genuine, and trustworthy. You embrace being a key member of integrated and interdisciplinary teams and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. An enthusiastic and positive attitude, ability to manage multiple priorities, and a passion for consistently delivering outstanding work. This position is eligible for overtime, therefore, we are looking for flexible people, as there are times where extended hours and travel away from home are required. Why Trace?
