The Role As Operations Manager, you’ll be the day‑to‑day heartbeat of the hotel—implementing clear SOPs, raising performance standards, and maximising revenue opportunities while championing an outstanding guest experience. Because rooms revenue is central here, you will bring strong Rooms Division capability, especially in reception / front office and front‑of‑house. You’ll understand how to keep bedrooms to brand expectations and will lead practical, on‑the‑floor initiatives to lift RPS, embed confident upselling at the desk and in‑stay, and grow loyalty membership engagement. Your impact goes beyond rooms. You’ll oversee Restaurant & Bar operations and Meetings & Events, collaborate closely with our Maintenance Manager to protect and present a unique heritage asset, and partner with the Head Chef and the wider leadership team to deliver locally inspired experiences that feel unmistakably Mercure. In the General Manager’s absence, you’ll ensure seamless hotel operations—calmly, confidently and with a guest‑first mindset.
