OverviewClosing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) is dedicated to providing Canadians with the highest level of care across a wide range of home-based and community-setting services. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Continuing Care Assistants in Training. In this role, you will undergo training to become a successful Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) and provide essential support to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities.What You’ll Be DoingEach shift may be varied and could include helping with daily activities of living, personal care, respite for caregivers, recreation activities or meal preparation. Care takes place in the home of the client.The Successful Continuing Care Assistant In Training Must HavePlans to successfully complete CCA Exam in four monthsPossession of a driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred but not mandatory; applicants without transportation will still be consideredFlexibility on your schedule is required for this roleCurrent CPR and First Aid Certification requiredMust pass a thorough criminal background check and vulnerable sector screeningGenuine interest in providing care and support to individuals in needDemonstrated commitment to client safety and building respectful relationships with clients and their families to fulfill their care requirementsProven history of accountability for multiple tasks, documentation and reportingProficiency in problem-solving, while also knowing when to seek assistance from colleagues or supervisorsAppreciation for collaborative teamwork and the guidance of experienced supervisors.
