Miller Maintenance’s Electrical Services Department provides routine and emergency maintenance on municipal and provincial electrical infrastructure in addition to construction services for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Provide electrical troubleshooting services to Miller and customer equipment, facilities, and plants. Install, program, and maintain traffic signal and roadway lighting systems. Perform power distribution work including consumer services, switchboards, MCCs, and transformers. Diagnose 3-phase electrical systems and install/connect electric motors, VFDs, soft starters, and related control wiring. Demonstrate attention to detail and craftsmanship in all electrical duties. Uphold safety as the number one priority and promote a safety-first culture for all employees, subcontractors, and consultants while working within Ontario and Canadian Electrical Code guidelines. Minimum Qualifications Registered with OCT and MTCU as an Apprentice Electrician Valid Class G driver’s license Compensation Hourly rate: $20-$35/hr Preferred Qualifications Class AZ or DZ license with clean driver’s abstract IMSA Traffic Signal Technician or associated certifications OTM Book 7 knowledge and implementation Knowledge of MTO and municipal specifications pertaining to electrical work Experience with elevated work platforms, bucket trucks, or similar equipment Construction experience in infrastructure, commercial, and industrial environments Ability to travel Day in the Life You will provide electrical troubleshooting services to Miller and customer equipment, facilities, and plants, and install, program, and maintain traffic signal and roadway lighting systems.
