Pharmacy Assistant - Northlands PharmacyJob DescriptionReporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacy Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist on Duty. The Pharmacy Assistant performs technical duties, including data entry and preliminary filling of prescriptions. They must employ a high degree of direct patient contact, which is crucial in developing a positive patient experience. The Provincial Regulatory Body limits duties that the Pharmacy Assistants are authorized to perform.Qualifications:Candidates must possess excellent internal and external customer service skills and strong attention to detail; basic pharmacy knowledge would be an asset. Applicants should be self-reliant, goal-oriented, and be able to set and adjust priorities and schedules.Ability to successfully complete a criminal record check as apart of the recruitment processHigh School diploma or equivalent is preferredPrevious pharmacy experience is an assetAbility to effectively communicate both orally and in writingExcellent internal and external customer service skillsStrong organizational skills and detail orientationProficient data entry skills; experience with Microsoft Office is an assetAbility to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environmentAbility to adapt to new technologyHigh level of integrity and work ethicAbility to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesPositive attitude with a willingness to learnAvailability: Full Availability (Including weekdays, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays)*Please note, you may be required to undergo pre-employment substance testing in accordance with South Country Co-op Policies.*Please note, you will be required to undergo a Criminal Record Check in accordance to the Alberta College of Pharmacy, as a part of the hiring process.Internal candidates who applied by Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 4:00 pm will be given first consideration, based on seniority, ability, and fitness to perform the work satisfactorily.
