Position Bakery Manager – Retail Location Guelph, ON N1K 1S5 Employment Terms Permanent Full time 35 hours per week Starts as soon as possible Compensation $36.00 per hour Responsibilities Direct and control daily operations Evaluate daily operations Plan and organize daily operations Manage staff and assign duties Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages Conduct performance reviews Direct quality control inspections Organize and maintain inventory Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages Develop production schedules and duty assignments to ensure proper functioning Qualifications and Experience Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate Experience: 5 years or more Manufacturing sector experience: Food Security: Criminal record check required Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast‑paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail Personal suitability: Time management, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, team player, resourcefulness, values and ethics, reliability Who can apply?
