What you'll be doing

The Senior Consultant and Agile Specialist supports Regulatory Programs’ goal of meeting regulatory requirements and closing deficiencies for Personal Lending & Insurance by facilitating and championing the Agile and Kanban processes across the complex pieces of work taking place across multiple Regulatory Programs teams.

How you'll succeed

Agile Expertise- Lead multiple Regulatory Programs teams in the establishment and implementation of Agile and Kanban principles in organizing and reporting on complex work packages.

Facilitate key Agile/Kanban activities: Daily Standups, Retrospective Meetings, and Backlog Refinement for multiple Regulatory Programs teams.

Promote Agile/Kanban values and support teams' transformation to Agile/Scrum work practices.

Ensure deliverables are achieved on time and within budget by identifying and removing impediments for the team.

Hold the team accountable for the achievement of release objectives and commitments to stakeholders.

Analyze current processes and assist Regulatory Programs Teams with the identification and implementation of improvements that optimize productivity and maximize business value.

Coach- Educate, coach, and mentor Regulatory Programs teams on Agile/Kanban best practices.

Provide advice and feedback on how to execute Agile/Kanban methods.

Improving transparency across the organization and assisting with communication.

Encourage organizational learning and transparency by communicating team objectives and progress cross-functionally.

Create a positive work environment and be an effective role model by championing CIBC’s mission, vision, and values.

Relationship Building - Collaborate with all areas of Regulatory Programs from Analyst to Vice President as appropriate to the engagement. Engage internal partners: Risk Management, Frontline Distribution Channels, Credit Adjudication, Operations and Technology, Product, Analytics & Decision Science, Compliance, Business Controls, Internal Audit

Who you are

You’re a certified professional. It's an asset if you have your Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification. Project management experience considered an asset

You demonstrate 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum/Agile/Kanban Specialist, 3-5 years experience in Agile/Kanban tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira

You have a Bachelor's degree/diploma in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent

You exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
