As the Manager of DevOps, you will collaborate closely with engineering, security, and product teams to streamline deployment processes, optimize system performance, and champion a culture of automation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Define and execute the DevOps roadmap aligned with organizational goals. Infrastructure & Automation Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines. Drive infrastructure-as-code practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar. Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring high availability and cost optimization. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for proactive system health management. Security & Compliance Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Integrate security into the DevOps lifecycle (DevSecOps). Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with development teams to improve release processes and reduce deployment friction. Work with product management to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles with at least 3 years in leadership. Technical Skills Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) Deep expertise in cloud platforms: GCP, AWS, Azure (multi-cloud experience preferred) Proficient in automation (Python, Bash, Go) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Crossplane) Experience building and scaling observability platforms (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana) Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure and Internal Developer Platforms (Backstage, Humanitec) Familiarity with security tools and DevSecOps practices (Vault, SOPS, Chainguard) Soft Skills Servant leadership mindset with excellent communication and cross-organizational influence Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong focus on collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement Pay Range $126,600 - $165,000 CAD Black Duck considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender preference, national origin, age, disability, or status as a Covered Veteran in accordance with federal law.
