These homes are built to last and are built around the clients lifestyle.PositionMaison Design+Build is currently looking for an enthusiastic Carpenter to join their talented team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in their Saskatoon office.ResponsibilitiesWork in coordination with Project Manager and Site Leader to meet project schedule and milestonesReading and interpreting architectural blueprints, diagrams and plans in preparation for execution on various sitesDetermine the type and amount of material required for each projectPlan for and transport all required materials and equipment to siteConstruction of wooden structures such as concrete forms, frameworks, scaffolding, and similar elementsInstalling wooden structures such as frames, stairways, rafters, partitionsInspecting the integrity of structure upon their instillationEstablish methods to meet work schedule and coordinate work activities with other departmentsRequisition materials and suppliesResolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivityHours of WorkApproximately 40 - 45 hours per weekMonday to Friday with the potential to work evening and weekendsWageBased on experienceQualifications and Work Experience5+ years experience on residential construction5+ years experience as a Journeyman Carpenter (or other trade)High School DiplomaSkillsMust be a problem solverProvide leadership to the on-site staff while maintaining a positive and respectful work environmentA positive work attitude, and a team playerFast thinking, clever, and able to make quick decisionsAbility to work safely and follow safe work policies and proceduresAbility to plan daily / weekly work in accordance to meet project schedulesGreat interpersonal skillsDetail and quality orientedAbility to work well while under pressureLicenses or CertificationsNone specifiedRequired documentationQualified applicants are encouraged to submit their resumes to admin@maisondesignbuild.ca.
