About Our OperationAgnico Eagle Mines operates the Detour Lake Mine on the traditional homelands of the Apitipi Anicinapek Nation, Moose Cree First Nation and Taykwa Tagamou Nation. Your Next ChallengeReporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will be part of the Geology Department and will develop toward a licensed Professional Geologist. You will support operational excellence, safety, continuous improvement and mining performance. Assist with daily geological tasks, including data collection, analysis and reporting. Support planning, design and scheduling of geological programs and production activities. Collaborate with operations and engineering to optimise mine performance. Participate in safety initiatives and promote a safety culture. Contribute to environmental stewardship and compliance. Engage in continuous improvement projects and support technology adoption. Learn mine engineering software and tools. Take part in training and development opportunities to build technical and leadership skills. Benefit from mentorship and guidance to progress toward professional licensure. What You Need To Succeed Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Effective communicator and team player. Eager to learn, adapt and contribute in a fast‑paced environment. Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and Agnico Eagle’s values. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI). Your Work Schedule Schedule: 7/7 or 14/14 at Detour Lake Mine.
