POSITION LOCATION: OWEN SOUND DEPARTMENT: ALLIED HEALTH UNION AFFILIATION: OPSEU – HPD STATUS: PART-TIME WAGE RATE: $40.36 - $56.30 Reporting to the Manager, Allied Health and Interprofessional Practice, the Physiotherapist provides essential clinical expertise across the full continuum of care at the Owen Sound site. This role is responsible for the assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and implementation of evidence-based treatment programs tailored to the unique needs of a diverse patient population. Qualifications / Skills / Abilities Required Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy Current Independent Practice Certificate and registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario Excellent professional judgment, conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, team members, students and community partners. Competence in the practice of evidence-based Physiotherapy and inter professional care, with experience in the application of practice models and outcome measures. Experience with adult acute care populations, Surgical, Medical, ICU, Emerg. Knowledge and experience utilizing Teach Back and other Principles of Adult Learning. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, sound judgment, analytical thinking and initiative Ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook, MS 365, Excel and Word Available for a 7-day rotation and ability to provide multi-site coverage as required Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records Adherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes #J-18808-Ljbffr
