Accommodations for disabilities are available upon request. Responsibilities Implementation and maintenance of corporate WAN, LAN, and server architecture with a focus on security. Configure and install network devices and services such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot‑fixes, and security configurations. Monitor performance, ensure system availability and reliability, and manage capacity planning. Work within established configuration and change management processes to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes. Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies. Administer perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Create alerts to notify appropriate personnel on threats. Sign‑off changes to the network and deployment of software to ensure protection. Enable controlled access to corporate security zones as required. Perform analysis of network security needs; develop technical solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities. Assist in technical security assessments, code reviews, vulnerability tests, penetration testing. Create processes for authentication, authorization, and encryption algorithms. Work with vendors to facilitate corrective actions. Provide Level‑2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify solutions, and work with developers to implement fixes. Analyze, monitor, troubleshoot, and correct network problems remotely and on‑site. Participate in the design of information and operational support systems. Contribute to the design, integration, and installation of hardware and software. Conduct research to identify new attack vectors against company products, services, and corporate assets. Keep current with changing cyber threats and malware risks. Qualifications University degree in Computer Science or a related subject. CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued). Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS). Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model. Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Perl, Python). Flexible to support 24/7 operations. Flexible for some international travel (must maintain a valid passport). Minimum of 4 years of hands‑on network engineering experience. Minimum of 4 years of experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux‑based environments. Hands‑on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools. Solid experience in administering and performance‑tuning application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, IIS, Apache). Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware). Experience with monitoring systems, protocols (NetFlow) and tools (e.g., Orion, Scrutinizer, Wireshark).
