About the role : We are seeking a Manager, Electronics Engineering to lead our electrical engineering team. In this role, you will oversee a team of electrical engineers and designers working on D-Wave’s electronics for interfacing with quantum processing units and controlling cryogenic systems. Your team will support current products and contribute to next-generation designs, including high-speed digital and low-noise analog quantum processor interface electronics, cryogenic filters, transmission lines, and high-reliability cryogenic control systems. What you'll do : Lead the electrical engineering team Facilitate design and research goals aligned with D-Wave’s development roadmap Plan and support career development for team members Contribute directly to electrical engineering design projects Coordinate with other teams to develop electrical specifications for multidisciplinary projects Develop and refine design and documentation best practices Work with operations and service teams on electrical maintenance and upgrades of quantum systems What you’ll bring : Leadership experience with 3+ years leading engineering teams Degree in electrical engineering or engineering physics Experience with high-speed digital FPGAs is an asset Experience with low-noise, high-frequency analog and mixed-signal electronics is an asset Microwave design experience is an asset High-reliability industrial controls design experience is an asset Excellent communication skills Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Organizational and decision-making skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment Self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and eager to learn Creative team player with interdisciplinary collaboration skills Eligible for professional registration with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia Compensation & Benefits : The annual salary range is $137,500 - $206,000, based on factors such as education, skills, experience, and business needs. The role includes participation in bonus plans, equity grants, PTO, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, STD, LTD, and travel insurance.
