The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating a strong safety culture of reporting all at risk conditions, behaviors and incidents with the purpose of preventing recurrence. This is a critical role that requires expertise in health and safety practices, exceptional attention to detail, and strong communication skills with partner companies on the project.## Key Responsibilities* Work to establish a strong reporting culture on the project.* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international health and safety regulations specific to nuclear projects. Stay updated on any changes in legislation and standards.* Risk Assessment and Management: Support risk assessments for all phases of the project, identifying potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate these risks.* Safety Audits and Inspections: Perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure all safety measures are being followed. Document findings and recommend corrective actions where necessary.* Incident Investigation: Support investigation of any incidents or near-misses, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.* Training and Development: Provide ongoing health and safety training to all project personnel. Ensure that all staff are knowledgeable about the latest safety procedures and best practices.* Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on health and safety performance, incidents, and compliance. Present findings to project management and recommend improvements.* Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate health and safety considerations into all aspects of the project.## ## ## Required Qualifications* Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or equivalent to meet the regulatory requirements in Romania.* Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety roles, preferably within the nuclear industry.* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices specific to nuclear projects.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Proficiency in using safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.* Strong English; fluency of Romanian is a plus.## ## ## Preferred Qualifications* Previous experience working on nuclear refurbishment or similar large-scale industrial projects.* Additional certifications in specialized safety areas (e.g., radiation safety, hazardous materials management).## Working Conditions* Full-time position based in Cernavoda, Romania.* Work will primarily be conducted on-site at the nuclear refurbishment project.* Must be willing to work in a high-risk environment and adhere to strict safety protocols.* May require occasional travel for training or project-related meetings.## Benefits* Competitive salary and benefits package.* Health and dental insurance.* Retirement savings plan.* Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.* Supportive and dynamic work environment.## Application ProcessInterested candidates are invited to submit their resume along with a cover letter outlining their qualifications and experience.
