We are currently looking to fill the position of Functional Analyst to join our Enrolment Services team.What we offerCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits packageVacation payFlexible WorkplaceHoliday closureSummer hour scheduleEmployee Transit EPass through Halifax TransitJob Information and ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Deputy Registrar the Functional Analyst will:Review and understand user documentation or release notes to analyse the impact of new functionality or enhancements in the university integrated student information system.Manage software projects – documentation planning and process re-engineering.Develop, execute, and document testing plans and procedures to accommodate new functionality or enhancements, and authorize the promotion of new functionality to the production environment.Develop new processes in conjunction with end users. Identify needs and design processes within integrated student information systems to improve efficiency.Develop and maintain training materials such as PowerPoint presentations, end‑user documentation (procedure manuals), and quick reference guides.Deliver training and follow‑up sessions to the end users in groups or individually.Maintain procedure manuals and checklists specific to Saint Marys University. These materials document operational requirements; daily, weekly, monthly or annually within the integrated student information systems.Communicate and train end users regarding new functionality and features included in upgrades or releases; including new reports and procedures created internally.Develop solutions to both ad hoc and re‑occurring reporting requirements.Analyze complex requests for ad hoc reports and determine the best approach for providing the data / reports.Determine security profiles of Banner Student systems in order to provide the necessary level of access while ensuring appropriate confidentiality.Authorise the granting of access to create the security profiles.Experience and Education RequirementsTo be the successful Functional Analyst you will have:Undergraduate Degree in Commerce or related field.Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.Experience with Banner CRM and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is considered an asset.Application DetailsApply for this opportunity online using our online application system through Career Beacon.
