Working in long-term care is more than just a job; it is a calling.The OpportunityThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), reporting to the Director of Care, is responsible for providing planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with provincial standards of care.What Is In It For YouWork as a member of the inter-professional team, applying a person-centered approach to care.Complete and ensure resident's clinical care assessments, care/service plans, and documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and communicated as required.Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making changes as needed.Assist with scheduling resident care conferences and participate when applicable.Work closely with the Director of Care to facilitate resident move-ins, move-outs, and transfers.Provide direct resident care, medication/treatment administration, and document care in compliance with regulatory standards and policies.What You Will NeedCurrent registration as an LPN in the applicable Province/State.Experience in a senior's environment and with unregulated care providers preferred.Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/long-term care are assets.Strong communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management, and customer service skills.Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge.Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certifications.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Ability to provide or obtain a current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Background Check.If you are motivated by serving seniors with dignity, respect, and compassion, we invite you to join usAdditional InformationSalary: $32.84 - $41.35 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.Note: The job is active; it has not expired. #J-18808-Ljbffr
