Associate Software Engineer We have new exciting opportunities for Associate Software Engineers to join our Engineering teams based in Burnaby, in hybrid roles at our Burnaby Centre of Excellence. In these roles spanning SaaS, on-premise, and platform development for our leading cybersecurity products, you will develop and deploy features for Infoblox’s next-generation security solutions. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will be a critical contributor to the evolution of Infoblox’s next-generation security solutions. Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do Design and implement high-quality, maintainable, and testable code using Golang and other technologies Produce comprehensive design and test documentation Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement Collaborate across teams to resolve complex technical challenges of delivering scalable, secure, reliable solutions Be Prepared — What You Bring Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang, Java, C/C++, Python Strong foundational background in professional software development, including co-op work terms or other industry exposure Solid problem-solving skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities Understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker environments, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP (highly desirable) Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related technical field, with a GPA of 3.75 or higher Be Successful — Your Path First 90 Days: Immerse yourself in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals. Six Months: Grow in your knowledge of cybersecurity and networking protocols. Understand key functionalities of the product/platform that your team develops. Contribute to analyzing, providing root cause analysis, and delivering solutions for specific issues. One Year: Play a major role in analyzing, designing, delivering, and maintaining core features and contribute lasting resolution to issues.
