With a 170,000 square foot aluminum extrusion facility and some of the most modern equipment in its industry, Apex can offer custom extrusions, mill finish aluminum and anodized aluminum to satisfy the most demanding customer and all architectural needs. As an Anodizing Associate, you will be responsible for preparing, securing, and removing parts for anodizing. This role is crucial in ensuring that all parts are properly treated and coated, following safety protocols and production guidelines. The Racker works closely with other team members in the anodizing department to maintain efficiency and quality throughout the process. Shift: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Mon to Thursday (Rotating) Essential Duties And Responsibilities Rack and Unrack Parts: Secure parts onto anodizing racks or jigs to ensure they are properly positioned for even coating. Remove parts after the anodizing process is complete. Inspect Parts: Check parts for any damage or defects before and after the anodizing process. Cleaning and Pre-Treatment: Clean parts to remove contaminants (oils, dirt, etc.) to prepare them for the anodizing bath. Setup and Operation: Assist in setting up equipment and ensuring proper operation during the anodizing process. Inspect Finished Products: Ensure the anodized parts meet quality standards, such as color, finish, and thickness of the oxide layer. Documentation: Record production details and any issues encountered during the process. Follow safety protocols when operating machinery. Adhere to environmental and industry regulations regarding waste disposal and chemical handling. Skills & Experience Experience in a manufacturing or anodizing environment. Attention to detail and the ability to work with precision. Physical ability to handle parts, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds during shifts. Dexterity to handle small parts and secure them to racks with care.
