We’re building teams that reflect the communities we serve and fostering an environment where everyone can thrive.Compensation can be hourly or salaried.Your ImpactOur OTs provide both individual and program-based treatments and assessments for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. They also play a pivotal role in supporting veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders, and individuals facing physical, cognitive and mental wellness goals. In this role, you will:Provide comprehensive, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to clientsApply clinical expertise and professional competence in the assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow-up of clientsPerform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessmentsIdentification of appropriate equipment needs with initiation of recommendationsConsult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding partiesProvide education on seating and positioning, independence with activities of daily living, wheelchairs and adaptive aides as well as providing ongoing education to clients and family to improve function, independence and safetyProvide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention.Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chartExcel in a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team environmentExhibit sound professional judgmentAre You the Right Fit?As one of the largest networks of OTs in the nation, you will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, delivering high-quality, client-centered care across multiple clinics, or specific clinic and community settings. Key skills and qualifications include:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Saskatchewan2+ years of experience working in a community-based and/or clinical settingA valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.Must follow Service Level Agreement scheduling and reporting timelinesIn some cases, Valid Vulnerable Sector screening checkIn some cases, Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux Test) clearance (within 6 months)Other RequirementsClinical experience is an asset in areas such as brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics and/or return to work.Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional developmentSuperior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skillsProficiency in computer skillsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary teamProficiency in computer skills.Bilingualism - French and English are assets.Working at LifemarkWe believe that when our team members thrive, our patients feel the difference We’re committed to empowering you to build a fulfilling career, providing the support you need to explore your interests and create your own path.
