Apply today to join our teamAs a Speech Language Pathologist with VCH you will:Be responsible for the delivery of speech and language services for preschool-aged clients in the community.Perform duties including the delivery of intake, consultation, assessment, therapy and education services using standard and advanced procedures. The administration and management of the local Speech-Language Pathology Program is also a function of this position.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceCurrent full registration as a Speech Language Pathologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) plus a minimum of two years related experience.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingAbility to work well as a member of a teamAbility to work independently, establish priorities and organize workloadAbility to organize and conduct workshops and seminars on speech-language development/communication disordersPhysical ability to perform duties of the positionAbility to operate related equipmentValid BC Drivers’ License and use of a personal vehicleClosing StatementThe hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check. As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks.
