Client Partner


The Client Partner will immerse themselves in the client’s business to proactively anticipate requirements and lead the team to deliver exceptional client experiences. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop a deep understanding of your assigned client(s) business situation and their expectations. You will actively participate in the development of communications strategies and deliver tactics that address the client’s business needs while fostering a relationship that makes us invaluable and easy to work with.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Client Partner will immerse themselves in the client’s business to proactively anticipate requirements and lead the team to deliver exceptional client experiences. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop a deep understanding of your assigned client(s) business situation and their expectations. You will actively participate in the development of communications strategies and deliver tactics that address the client’s business needs while fostering a relationship that makes us invaluable and easy to work with.


  • Proactively learn the client's business/industry, develop a thorough understanding of the client their environment and priorities. Leverage that understanding to respond to their needs and proactively develop solutions to be presented.
  • Lead the business development process for assigned clients by identifying and developing opportunities. Pursuit of these opportunities will involve asking for referrals, networking with current clients, and reaching out to new individuals within the client organization.
  • Ensure team effort is aligned to the client need while promoting efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development of communications strategy, with your Strategy and Creative partners, for client campaigns. Oversee and collaborate on content development to ensure alignment to strategy.
  • Foster relationships with assigned clients by leading front-line communication, ensuring execution delivers on expectation and remains on strategy, brand, and budget. Champion courageous conversations when required to ensure expectations are set/being met to nurture and advance the relationship, both with clients and Livewires.
  • Accountable for thorough project briefs, with input from key team members, to kick off teams and align on expectations and to deliver the best, most relevant work.
  • Lead a strategic account planning process: + Lead a monthly account strategy meeting; + Lead the development and presentation of formal growth plan on an annual basis; + Contribute to an internal weekly forecast report
  • Lead the proposal process by gathering intel, crafting a strong message, and ensuring the team is set up to win. Support and assist with initial scope documentation and budgeting so that you understand and can defend the budget.
  • Follow up on invoice collection from clients.
  • Accountable to weekly business development meetings, news sourcing and weekly activity in the business development prospecting channel, utilizing your network for opportunities beyond your assigned accounts.
  • Accountable to daily time tracking, project management and customer relationship management inputs.
  • Collaborate with your partners on the Account Team to provide timely input to resource planning to ensure project management and other resources are in place to deliver quality execution.
  • Motivate, inspire, and collaborate with the team on a daily basis.
  • Be a steward of Livewire’s brand and reputation in your clients’ organization.
  • Lead and mentor your Project Manager(s) and support their growth and development by preparing for 1:1 conversations and personal development conversations.
  • Assist Project Managers with their individual career development plans, continually assess employee skills and manage performance and identify learning opportunities to further the development of your team.
  • Contribute to the recruitment of Project Managers.
  • Foster engagement and a collaborative, positive work environment and ensure transparency and consistency in dealing with Project Managers.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years related client side, agency experience or relevant experience. Experience in internal communications and leadership communications is a plus.
  • Experience in senior-level client engagement and relationship development.
  • Strong presentation/pitching skills, strong communications skills, navigating sensitive conversations.
  • Ability to grow, forecast, and retain great client relationships on key accounts and under pressure of tight deadlines and for clients who rely on our sense of urgency.
