ABOUT THIS ROLE The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple mechanical construction projects across various sites. This role serves as a key liaison between the client, project managers, field supervisors, and office personnel, ensuring that work is planned, executed, and completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. The Mechanical Superintendent will be actively involved in project planning, execution, and closeout, and will lead initiatives that promote mentorship, team development, and continuous improvement. You possess extensive experience in mechanical construction and excel in planning, execution, and risk management. Your attention to detail ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. A DAY IN THE LIFE As a Mechanical Superintendent, youll report to the Field Operations Manager and oversee multiple projects, ensuring seamless coordination and execution. Your day will include: Managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure success. Leading and mentoring Site Supervisors, Foremen, and staff to achieve operational excellence. Collaborating with safety teams to enforce and enhance company safety policies. Conducting project pre-planning and reviewing designs for cost-effectiveness and compliance. Addressing job and schedule delays proactively to minimize losses. Overseeing quality control and assurance to maintain Hall's reputation for excellence. Representing Hall Mechanical at site meetings and fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical construction or a related field. Proven track record in managing multiple large-scale projects and teams. Strong understanding of plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, as well as building codes and safety regulations. Journeyman or Red Seal certification in a mechanical trade (e.g., plumbing, gas fitting); PMP or P.Eng considered an asset. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
