Sign‑On Bonus: $500 for licensed Alberta Security Guards. Employment Type: Full Time. Overview Paladin Security is seeking a dedicated Security Guard for its Healthcare Security team in Valleyview. The role requires strong customer service skills, the ability to remain calm in high‑pressure situations, and a passion for helping people. The position offers hands‑on experience in conflict de‑escalation, violence prevention, emergency response, and patient interaction. Responsibilities Monitors patient safety and reports concerns to Protective Services or clinical staff. Reports all incidents according to site procedures. Responds to alarms and emergency calls. Enforces safety regulations, codes, and protocols. Handles confidential and sensitive information professionally. Uses two‑way radios and computer systems to communicate site updates. Screens and assists visitors and clients respectfully. De‑escalates and manages high‑stress situations. Logs and documents incidents and patient interactions. Provides prompt emergency assistance. Requirements Must live within 30 minutes of Wabasca. Must be available days, evenings, nights, and 7 days a week; flexible shift work including overnights and weekends. Ability to obtain an Alberta Security License. Valid Class 5 driver’s license and personal vehicle. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional, tactful, customer‑focused demeanor. Ability to write thorough reports and maintain logs. Sound decision‑making skills under pressure. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to walk 18–20 km per shift and climb stairs. Authorized to work in Canada.
