Nuclear Medicine Technologist I We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) I for the Nuclear Cardiology department at South Health Campus. Reporting to the Unit Manager of Cardiac Diagnostics and Clinics and supervised daily by NMT II, the incumbent will prepare, administer, and measure radioisotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies, using gamma cameras, computers, ECG monitors, cardiac stress equipment, and radiation safety devices. They will perform myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI), cardiac CTA, calcium scoring, and MUGA scans, ensuring efficient and optimal image production. Key responsibilities include performing nuclear medicine procedures as described in the department procedure manual, operating equipment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, maintaining patient records, following safety protocols and regulatory standards, and engaging in professional development. The role requires adherence to Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT), Health Professions Act, FOIP, PPIA, Health Information Act, and CAMRT guidelines. The NMT will identify professional development needs and seek learning opportunities. Employment Details Classification: Nuclear Medicine Tech I Union: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH FTE: 0.60 Posted until: 19‑JAN‑2026 Minimum Salary: $35.45 per hour Maximum Salary: $46.69 per hour Hours per shift: 7.75 Shift pattern: Days (multisite) Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Qualifications Required Qualifications: Completion of diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Additional Required Qualifications: Graduate of an approved training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Current member in good standing with the CAMRT and ACMDTT. Current CT and Contrast Media Enhanced Practice Designation with ACMDTT. Registered with the Health Disciplines Board of Alberta. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS‑HCP). Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 2 years Nuclear Cardiology experience within the past 5 years (0.4 FTE or greater). Experience in performing Cardiac CT within the past 2 years (0.4 FTE or greater). Current dysrhythmia certification. Experience in research activities involving nuclear cardiology. Familiar with patient and family centered care.
