Senior Research Fellow (National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs)Join UNSW to lead independent research on methamphetamine and emerging drugs, developing translational outputs at the National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs (NCCRED). The Fellow reports to the Director and may supervise 1–4 direct reports.Employment Type: Full‑time (35 hours a week)Duration: Fixed term until 30 June 2027 (possible extension)Remuneration: $155 K–$178 K base + 17% superannuation and leave loadingWork Rights: Must hold full rights to work in Australia; visa sponsorship not availableLocation: Health Translation Hub, Randwick, NSWAbout NCCRED: a national research centre embedded in clinical practice, building capacity to detect and respond to new drug health problems and translating findings into practice.Key responsibilities:Design, conduct and lead clinical, community or digital interventions focusing on methamphetamine and emerging drugsProduce high‑quality, high‑impact research outputs and lead research translationBuild and maintain collaborative relationships across disciplines and with cliniciansMentor junior researchers and manage up to 4 direct reportsKey skills required:A PhD in medicine, public health or related field, and/or relevant work experienceStrong track record of high‑quality research outputs and demonstrated research leadershipExcellent interpersonal, organisational and teamwork skillsCommitment to stay current with discipline knowledge and developmentsUNSW benefits: flexible working, additional 3 days leave over End‑of‑Year period, fitness passport membership options, lifelong learning and career development, progressive HR practices.How to apply: Click "Apply now" to submit resume, cover letter and a separate document addressing the main skills and experience listed above.
