Join us in this elite role where your vigilance and dedication contribute to the overall shrink reduction success of our retail partner.Day to DayAs a Loss Prevention Investigator at Securiguard, your role involves safeguarding the assets and minimizing losses for our retail client. You will conduct undercover surveillance, employing your keen observational skills to identify and prevent theft, fraud, or other security infractions. You will interact with customers and employees to deter shoplifting incidents while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your role includes investigating suspicious activities and collaborating with mall security and law enforcement when necessary and you will complete detailed incident reports. We are seeking candidates who strive for excellence and are committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment for both staff and customers.What you bring:Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseValid First Aid & CPRPolice foundations, Criminal Justice Studies (etc) backgrounds preferredUndercover experience preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills.Strong observational skills and situational awarenessDemonstrated ability to prepare detailed incident reportsKnowledge of Trespass to Property Act (TPA), Canada Criminal Code and 494(c)Conflict resolution and de-escalation skillsAbility to conduct arrests in appropriate and sanctioned situations.Military/Police background/Law Enforcement background is an assetPunctualityTraining:Use of Force and Crisis Management training will be provided, including mandatory annual re-certification.
