Due to the breadth of the research undertaken at the Centre, the individual will provide support and technical assistance at an Agriculture and Agri-Food Research Centre in the soil carbon team by: Contributing to the development of soil carbon analytical methods and evaluation techniques. Contributing to the development of new soil carbon techniques and methods. Contributing to collection and completion of soil data analysis. Assisting with laboratory and field support for soil research programs. Carries out research activities under lab and/or field conditions. The students will initially and primarily be expected to support soil researchers. Depending on the profile and interest of the selected candidates, conducting original research might be offered. Compte tenu de l’étendue des recherches effectuées au Centre, la personne fournira un soutien général et technique à l’équipe chargée des recherches sur le carbone dans le sol d’Agriculture et Agroalimentaire en : contribuant à l’élaboration de méthodes d’analyse et de techniques d’évaluation du carbone dans le sol; contribuant à l’élaboration de nouvelles techniques et méthodes relatives au carbone dans le sol; contribuant à la collecte et à l’analyse de données sur les sols; fournissant un soutien en laboratoire ou sur le terrain dans le cadre de programmes de recherche sur les sols; réalisant des activités de recherche en laboratoire et/ou sur le terrain. Les étudiants et étudiantes seront initialement et principalement chargés d’assister des chercheurs spécialisés en pédologie. En fonction du profil et des centres d’intérêt des candidats et candidates sélectionnés, la possibilité de mener des recherches nouvelles pourra leur être offerte.
