About The OpportunityReporting to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the CT Technologist is responsible for the efficient operation of the CT scanners. They will organize and perform computed tomography examinations efficiently and professionally.The CT Technologist positions the patient to obtain high-quality images; operates equipment safely while following radiation protection guidelines, practices sterile techniques when required, and performs clerical duties related to the handling of the customer.About YouTravel to other sites may be required.We would love to hear from you if you have the following:Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological TechnologyCanadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certificationNova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensureCAMRT CT courses or CT Imaging Certificate an assetCT experience preferredIV experience preferred or willing to be trained in intravenous injection and will be required to use a contrast injectorA high degree of mental, visual, and manual dexterity is requiredWorks independently and as a healthcare team member to ensure exceptional patient careEffective communication and interpersonal skillsCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferredHoursLong assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweeklyApproximately 12 monthsCall and shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekendsCompensation And Benefits$38.74 - $47.50 hourlySuccessful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.Once You've AppliedThank you for your interest in this position.
