The SAP Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of a project throughout its implementation. They are responsible for defining, planning, tracking and managing the project, for identifying key resources and providing the direction they require to meet project objectives. The Project Manager provides leadership to cross‑functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outputs to time, budget and project quality criteria. The Project Manager also ensures adherence to project management methodology practices, provides team coaching, evaluates the performance of team members, and reinforces enterprise knowledge management through the collection and communication of lessons learned. Desired Skills and Qualifications Project Management experience, preferably within consulting or large‑scale implementations Proven track record of managing SAP implementations 5+ years of client management experience Hands on functional experience in one of the required SAP modules Ability to work in the US and/or Canada – sponsorship is not provided Responsibilities Participate in the project planning activities and manage the execution of projects according to plan Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients Keep stakeholders informed of progress and issues to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project’s objectives, and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work, budget and timeline Manage the financial aspects of the project: budgeting and estimate to actual variance Analyze risk, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigating action Escalate issues early to stakeholders Determine what constitutes successful closure for all parties and obtain sign‑off by all parties when closure is attained Proactively manage project stakeholder satisfaction to position and secure customer reference and success story Experience as a functional consultant is an asset Education – degree, MBA preferred; PMP an asset Benefits Competitive, above‑average compensation Global travel: work from abroad from time to time Flexible working time models, home office Attractive benefits, e.g. company pension scheme or various health offers A modern environment where you are part of it Open feedback culture, flat hierarchies and a motivated team Individual career planning with continuous training and coaching on the job Syntax is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
