Temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (Multiple Opportunities) We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. We welcome candidates seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time position and are open to considering an applicant's availability for work in meeting the needs of the board. RATE OF PAY $88,014 - $93,592 (annually) REASON FOR VACANCY Existing vacancies JOB OVERVIEW Reporting directly to the Board Lead Psychologist, the Speech-Language Pathologist performs related duties by consulting with school staff, parents, and outside agencies about students with communication difficulties. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, recommend, support and provide some direct programming to meet the needs of students with communication delay or disorder. Monitor student progress to determine on-going appropriateness of speech/language interventions. Provide assessment, discuss results and findings and provide recommendations in a written report to support programming and intervention. Make recommendations to principals regarding school level approaches and practices for speech and language needs. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum post-secondary education completion of a Master in Speech Language, or equivalent and registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) in good standing. Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience. Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a strong client and quality service focus. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting and demonstrated experience with intervention strategies appropriate for youth with a variety of communicative disorders. Evidence of strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Background check.
