This is the fuel that helps us tackle the major challenges of our time. Project Manager – Environmental Consulting We are seeking a self‑motivated, experienced Project Manager to join our team. This role is key to our expansion and involves leading large, multi‑disciplinary environmental projects, with primary focus on leading projects in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), environmental monitoring and environmental permitting and licensing for the mining and nuclear sectors. The ideal candidate has a background in environmental science, engineering or related fields, possesses strong project management skills and is eager to support organizational growth. In addition to managing projects, the successful candidate will contribute technically where appropriate, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, scientifically robust results. The candidate will work closely with clients to ensure responsiveness to their needs and collaborate with a diverse team of experts to guide projects from conception through completion, maintaining regulatory compliance and effective stakeholder engagement. To be successful in the role, the candidate will need to develop a general understanding of the technical disciplines involved in your projects, to be able to communicate with the client and answer pertinent questions. Additionally, the candidate will actively contribute to developing and improving project management tools and methodologies to support our expanding portfolio. Key Responsibilities Lead all phases of environmental projects, with a focus on EIA, environmental monitoring and environmental permitting and licensing for mining and nuclear projects, from initial scoping and feasibility through to execution and reporting. Develop project specific team needs using internal and external resources with the required technical expertise to deliver the project. Provide technical expertise and contribute to project deliverables where appropriate, leveraging background in environmental science, engineering or related disciplines to ensure the accuracy and rigor of project outcomes. Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies and stakeholders to address project requirements, secure necessary permits and provide regular project updates. Maintain a high level of responsiveness to client needs and adapt project strategies to address client feedback. Manage and coordinate multi‑disciplinary project teams, including biologists, geologists, engineers and other specialists, including subcontractors. Develop project budgets, manage financials and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and quality standards. Ensure all deliverables meet regulatory standards, ISO 9001 requirements and company quality guidelines with a focus on data accuracy, methodology and reporting consistency. Oversee compliance with environmental regulations and manage documentation, including permits, EIA reports and technical summaries. Build and maintain relationship with clients and external vendors, managing communications and negotiating contracts as needed. Actively support the development and refinement of robust project management tools and processes to improve efficiency and project outcomes within the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years + years of demonstrated project management experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on large, multi‑disciplinary projects in the mining and nuclear sectors and Environmental Impact Assessments. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is an asset. Exceptional communication, negotiation and leadership skills with a dedication to internal team cohesiveness and effective collaboration. Tenacity, results driven and persistence towards project success. Ability to make informed decisions under pressure and solve complex project challenges. Strong drive to excel in a dynamic environment, with a commitment to proactively enhance project management practices. High standard of accuracy and thoroughness in project documentation and reporting. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with environmental regulations, permitting processes, EIA methodologies and ISO 9001 standards. Proficiency in project management software (i.e. MS Project, Primavera) and environmental analysis tools.
