Associate Veterinarian - Annex Animal HospitalJob DescriptionPosted Monday, November 17, 2025 at 5:00 AMEmployer: Annex Animal HospitalTerms of Employment: Full-time / PermanentHours of Work: 40 hours/weekEligible for discretionary bonuses and/or salary increases in accordance with company policy;Paid vacation/sick leave, Continuing Education (CE) allowance, VIN membership, annual licenses paid;Eligible for employer’s medical plan, including dental and vision coverage;Eligible for production pay and a relocation bonus;Eligible to participate in a Group Retirement Savings Plan, which consists of employee contributions to a RRSP or TFSA plan, and employer contributions to a deferred profit-sharing plan (subject to benefits eligibility and plan maximum rules);Malpractice insurance;Participation in employer sick/wellness program;Access to network of over 1000 veterinarians;Salary: $ 127,400 CAD per annumContact: Please send resumes to careers@vetstrategy.com and include 'Associate Veterinarian -Annex Animal Hospital' in the email subject line.Duties:Performing routine therapeutic proceduresPerforming Veterinary surgeryResponsible for patient records managementPerforming post-operative observationEnsuring accurate client billingParticipating in continuing education mattersExamining animals and diagnosing problems or diseases through physical examinations or laboratory testsDiagnosing and prescribing medication to sick or injured animalsConsulting with pet owners about preventative healthcare; and carrying out medical and surgical procedures, such as vaccinations, dental work, and fracturesPerforming routine surgeries and handling emergency casesConsulting clients on hygiene and general care of their pets.Having exemplary skills to work with colleagues, clinic staff, pet parents and communityProviding a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, and euthanasiaOffering general wellness and vaccinations, nutrition, and weight management programsMay enforce government regulations in disease and control and food productionKeeping up with the flow of the clinic and meeting expected appointment timesExpected to attend monthly DVM and all other team meetings, and contributing ideas and feedback at the meetings that will help with the health of the clinic and patientsRequirements:4-5 University degree in veterinary medicine (as well as any required pre-veterinary studies for the university program, if applicable) is requiredCompletion of national certification examinations or equivalent are requiredProvincial Licensing in Ontario is required or ability to obtainPassion for what you do every day Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude are a mustStrong desire to educate and build solid relationships with clientsSolid communication skills, both when dealing with clients and interpersonal relationshipsAbility to work evenings, weekends and on-call #J-18808-Ljbffr
