A successful candidate will be required to work with integrity, respect, and take responsibility for the security and safety of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.What you will do:Providing efficient supervision and supporting assigned locationsPreparing reports for all incidents, complaints, or deficiencies discovered that affect the delivery of service to our clientsInspecting all posts regularly and coordinating break relief functions for all assigned locationsEnsuring all guards are dressed in appropriate uniform and equipped to perform their designated functions safely and efficientlyCompiling Daily Summary Reports from guards and submitting to the Manager for reviewInspecting all posts regularly and testing site staff on their knowledge of the Post Orders and General OrdersMaintaining effective control for all issued equipmentCommunicating instructions from Head Office to all security staffTraining new security and traffic control staff on-site and sharing their performance with the Operations ManagerMaking recommendations for improvement that will increase the effectiveness or benefit the service delivery to our clientsPerforming emergency response duties as per the Emergency Response ManualDirect the day-to-day operationsAct as the point of contact for security personnel during emergency operationsMonitor, evaluate, and coach employees performing their regular dutiesEnsure that Security Occurrence Reports are written by security guards for incidents that happen at the Airport, review these reports for completeness and accuracy and provide these reports to the AOCC within 24 hours for inclusion in PortsToronto’s Records Management SystemCarry and operate portable radios to communicate with the Airport Operations Communication Center GuardsAny other duties as assignedWho you are:Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 educationMinimum of two (2) years of employment with A.S.P. incorporated or four (4) years of security supervisory related experienceEligible to work in CanadaAbility to obtain an AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operating Permit) is mandatoryAbility to obtain a RAIC (Restricted Access Identification Card) is mandatoryComprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, Codes and legislation, including the Criminal Code, the PSISA, the Trespass to Property Act, the Fire Code, AODA, and WHMISMust possess a valid security license, Driver’s License (G or higher) with a clean driving abstract, Standard First Aid & CPR certification, and willing to provide Criminal Record check upon requestExcellent written & verbal communication, and active listening skillsAble to work on nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidaysWhy you should work with A.S.P:We care about our team and their personal and professional successDiverse and engaging work environmentPeople-first mentalityCompetitive remuneration and benefits packageBe part of an organization that specializes and excels in aviation securityA.S.P.
