As a member of this team, the successful candidate will provide client‑focused and integrated advice and services across the Department and their District offices in the areas of health and safety. Key responsibilities of this position are: Providing guidance as a subject‑matter expert on occupational health and safety standards, risk assessment methodologies, the department’s safety program, safe work practices, safety management systems, incident investigations, process improvements and various other safety initiatives; Maintaining and promoting the health and safety program with an emphasis on compliance, critical hazard identification and risk assessments; Developing, coordinating and delivering health and safety training; and Liaising between WorkSafeNB and the department and advising the department as it relates to any regulatory requirements or orders.
