Benefits: Competitive prorated benefits package and vacation allowance Manitoba Pork Credit Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Manager, Advance Payments Program to oversee the delivery of the Advance Payments Program (APP) for hog producers across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. This role plays a key part in supporting producers while ensuring compliance, financial integrity, and strong relationships with government partners and industry stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Program Management & Oversight Manage all aspects of the Advance Payments Program for hog producers in Western Canada. Prepare and submit the Annual Program Application to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). Negotiate and manage the service agreement with the program’s lender of record, including applicable interest rates. Act as an ambassador for the Advance Payments Program and Manitoba Pork Credit Corporation to producers. Reporting & Governance Report on program operations and performance to: Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Board of Manitoba Pork Credit Corporation Board of Manitoba Pork Council Submit required program data through the Advance Payments Program Electronic Delivery System (APPEDS). Assist the Finance Manager with preparation for the year-end financial audit. Producer Application & Account Management Manage producer applications for both interest-free and interest-bearing advances, including: Conducting credit checks Verifying producer inventory availability Confirming producers are in good standing with APP requirements Registering AgriStability and liens with appropriate provincial bodies Ensuring applications are complete, accurate, and properly submitted Support producers in navigating the application process, as needed. Approve producer applications and issue advances. Monitor loan repayments and initiate corrective action when repayment schedules are not met.
