Personnel Officer- Human Resources Staffing

Person, who designs, analyses, assesses and applies professional techniques in the field of human resources, with a view to ensuring optimal performance.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensures the entire process of the staffing cycle;
  2. Develops, updates and evaluates the various tools required for the staffing cycle;
  3. Develops strategies and tools for recruitment and visibility as needed and assess the impact;
  4. Participates in different visibility activities with different partners;
  5. Participates in the exercise of the organizational workforce planning and in the definition of the resources need of its client groups;
  6. Participates in the process of integrating and welcoming new staff;
  7. Compiles statistics used as management indicators;
  8. Establishes and maintains effective communications with the various human resources departments, the organization and the MSSS.

Education: Bachelor's degree in administration, human resources, industrial relations or another university appropriate discipline.

Experience: Three (3) years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of MSSS legislation, regulations, the Ministry Network and programs, and current trends;
- Knowledge of First Nation health/social service models, trends and issues is an asset;
- Knowledge of Cree culture, language, and social/health realities in Eeyou Istchee is an asset;
- Communication, leadership and teamwork skills;
- Excellent planning and decision making skills;
- Computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

LANGUAGE: Fluent in English and French; Fluency in Cree is an asset.

OTHER: Willing to travel on a regular basis.
