Our technology team builds foundational systems that drive investment decisions. This role is an exciting intersection of finance and technology. What you will do Engineer and support software and systems infrastructure. Introduce new foundational technologies that advance our software engineering capabilities. Collaborate with our software development teams on support issues and improvements to our infrastructure tools, processes, and software. Act as a conduit between our application development teams, IT, network security, and other stakeholders to align priorities and translate business requirements into technical designs. Improve systems infrastructure reliability. Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning, fault finding, and business continuity planning. Design, plan, and implement solutions in an entrepreneurial spirit. What you bring Programming Knowledge: You have an undergraduate, graduate, or post‑graduate degree in a computer‑related field OR exceptional programming skills gained through work experience. We use several programming languages (Kdb+/Q, Python, Java, C#, Angular/Typescript). Passion for Technology: You work on low‑level foundational systems and software. Knowledge about cloud computing (AWS), systems engineering, distributed systems, scripting, operating systems (Windows and Linux), databases, and host‑based networking is useful. Upfront knowledge is preferred but not required; learning is expected. Collaborative Communication: You work well with many teams and stakeholders, communicating effectively. Project Ownership Mindset: You take initiative to drive execution of systems projects you own, owning decisions and maintaining organization. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: You dissect problems, diagnose root causes, and employ different techniques across technologies.
